Also known as holistic therapies, complementary therapies have been effectively used for centuries seeking to enhance the mind-body-spirit connection to improve well-being, lower stress and boost the immune system.
Complementary Therapists are in high demand, and in the UK alone over 50% of us use some form of complementary and alternative medicine in our lifetime. Our Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies is a comprehensive vocational qualification, and on completion of this exciting and relevant one year part time course, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and attributes to work in a range of interesting, meaningful and varied settings including: commercial complementary therapy clinics, commercial spas and salons, NHS hospitals and care homes, running your own home-based or mobile business. You may also choose to progress to further specialist study.
The course is aimed at learners aged 19 and over.

Course Content
You will develop a range of practical and technical skills enabling you to use body massage, reflexology & aromatherapy techniques to help promote relaxation, rejuvenation, stress relief and self-healing. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients. The qualification has been designed to prepare and support you to help you gain a career as a complementary therapist as the units relate directly to the specific job role as a complementary therapist which will prepare you for the industry. Principles & practices of complementary therapies
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapists
Body massage for complementary therapists
Provide aromatherapy for complementary therapists
