A Level + Journalism Pathway
Are you a keen observer and good communicator? Then a career in Journalism might be for you. This exciting course explores the world of media, supporting the development of skills in research, writing, presenting and production in various settings including TV, radio, magazines as well as other digital media platforms. Alongside studying a full Level 3 BTEC in Creative Media, students will also take an A Level in English.

Course Content
Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Creative Media Practice:In this first year you will develop a range of theoretical and practical media skills, from film making and the production of a single camera short film, TV studio multi camera work, animation, radio, graphic design, photography, journalism, marketing and social media. You will also learn critical employability skills such as how to write, plan, direct, produce, edit and promote your own film. The course is evidence based; students build up a portfolio of work over the year and submitted at key assessment points.
AS Level in English:
In year 2 students have the opportunity to complete the full Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media as well as the full A Level in English, which is equivalent to four A Level qualifications.
