ESOL Entry Level 2 (16yrs - 19yrs)

We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

Applicants with 85% or below attendance will have been deemed not to have met this criteria. All applicants are given an opportunity to discuss any evidence based mitigating circumstances that may have affected the reference/school report.

Progression depends on excellent attendance, behaviour standards, a satisfactory reference and successful achievement of all exams- Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing. Students who succeed progress onto ESOL Entry Level 3.

Students who are consistently successful in both internal and external assessment will be able to progress to the next level.

During your time with us you will have access to a dedicated team of careers and education advisors who will help you as you take the next steps towards achieving your goals.

The course is full time, a timetable is given at induction. Lessons can take place from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm. The course starts in September and lasts for one academic year. Progression to semester 2 is not automatic - it will depend on overall progress, attendance and commitment in the first semester, and progression test results.

At the start of the course learners will be given a list of stationery and course materials, including a course book which they are expected to purchase.
