BTEC Level 4 HNC Engineering for England Part time (HTQ)
This course can be studied either Part-Time (1 day per week) over 2 years or can be studied Full-Time (2 days per week) over 1 year by combining the 1st and 2nd years of the part-time programme. The Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in General Engineering offers students a broad introduction to the study of both Mechanical and Electrical & Electronics theories and applications via a mandatory core of learning, while allowing for the acquisition of some sector-specific skills and experience through the specialist units. This effectively builds underpinning core skills while preparing the student for more intense subject specialisation at Level 5. Students will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace activities. For this General engineering pathway, students take the four mandatory core units and an additional four units.

The Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Engineering offers students a broad introduction to the subject area via a mandatory core of learning, while allowing for the acquisition of some sector-specific skills and experience through the specialist units in each pathway, with the opportunity to pursue a particular interest through the appropriate selection of optional units. This effectively builds underpinning core skills while preparing the student for more intense subject specialisation at Level 5. Students will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace activities. For the Engineering for England pathway, students take the eight mandatory core units.Additional requirements:
