BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Tourism & Aviation
The tourism and aviation industries have a wide range of employment opportunities. These include jobs in cabin crew, airline customer service, hotels, tour operators and travel agents, tourist attractions, conferences and events, hospitality and entertainment.
You will gain knowledge of all sectors of the industry and develop the critical skills needed to progress to the next level and into employment (either in the UK or abroad) , including teamwork and communication.

Entry Requirements
4 x GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including English and Maths, or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject.We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
You will provide a copy of your last school report and/or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other to include attendance. This is to ensure we can support to be able to achieve well on the course. Applicants with 85% or below attendance will have been deemed not to have met this criteria. All applicants are given an opportunity to discuss any evidence based mitigating circumstances that may have affected the reference/school report.

Most students progress to the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Travel & Tourism or Aviation Operations.There are lots of opportunities available to you to progress across the South Thames Colleges Group and into the world beyond education.

Course Structure
If you have not achieved a grade 4 in English and/or Maths, you will continue to study these GCSEs alongside Travel & Tourism.You will also complete a one-week work experience placement in the tourism or aviation industries.
