Pottery for Beginners & Intermediates
This course is designed for anyone wanting to extend their skills in pottery. A mixed ability course which caters to beginners and intermediates alike. The course is the ideal opportunity to progress as a beginner, or advance to intermediate level, working with different clay types to create ambitious pieces.

Course Content
Throughout this 5-week course, you will have the opportunity to extend your ceramics skills further by exploring specialist projects designed to challenge and inspire. You will be introduced to working with contrasting black and white stoneware clay, alongside learning more complex glazing and construction techniques, including the use of: oxides, underglazes and slips to decorate. In the later stages of the course, you will take on a specialist project that introduces a mixed-media material to enhance functionality and aesthetics to offer a complementary contrast between the glazed ceramic and the added elements. -
Progression Next Steps
You could progress onto our follow-on course, Pottery - Studio Session, where you can work entirely on your own ceramic projects in our expert facilities with the support of a tutor throughout the session. -

Should you become more ambitious in the scale of your work, we may ask for a contribution towards further materials used.Please be aware our courses need to meet a minimum recruitment number in order for them to run. A full refund will be provided should a course not meet the required numbers. Once the course has started, no refunds or partial refunds will be given.

- Up to 1 bag of White Stoneware per person - or - Up to 1 bag of Buff School Clay per person
