Course Content
Singing has long been known to have benefits for both physical and mental health. Studies on singing and wellbeing have reported many positive effects, including improvements to heart and lung function, immunity and memory, as well as reduced levels of stress and anxiety.In this course, you will explore the connection between singing and wellbeing in a supportive and inclusive environment, through breathing and vocal exercises, group singing and discussion. You will learn a series of vocal warm-up routines to release tension and extend the range and power of your voice, sing together in a range of styles in unison and harmony and learn how to prepare a song from first steps to performance. There will be opportunities for solo singing with positive, detailed feedback given.
