Data Analyst Apprenticeship - Level 4
A Data Analyst will ascertain how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems. Data analysis is a process of requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, encompassing diverse techniques under a variety of names. In today's world, data analysis plays a crucial role in making decisions more evidence-based and helping organisations operate more effectively. Apprenticeships are flexible and are designed to offer a structured programme of learning to fit around the needs of the individual and the employer. Learning takes place mainly during the employment through the development of 'on the job' skills, supported by your college based 'off the job training' which will take place online via MS Teams for one day every other week, during the college term. Both the on and off the job elements of the apprenticeship lead to nationally recognised qualifications.

Course Content
A Data Analyst collects, organises and studies data to provide business insight, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data, while conducting a range of analytical studies on that information. They work across a variety of projects, providing technical data solutions to a range of stakeholder and customer issues. The role includes documenting and reporting the results of data analysis activities and making recommendations to improve business performance. Develop a good understanding of data structures, systems, procedures and the range of tools used to undertake a range of different types of analyses. - Work with R as an industry-standard data analytics tools
- Advanced modelling for big data using industry recognised tools such as Hadoop

- Sell the impact of your analysis and results to senior management
