This 10-hour, 2 day course introduces learners to the essential skills needed to search for jobs effectively and prepare for interviews with confidence. It's designed for adults who may be returning to work, job hunting, changing careers, or entering the job market for the first time.

    Finding a job and preparing for interviews can feel overwhelming—especially if you haven't done it in a while. This beginner-friendly course helps you take the first step. You'll learn how to search for jobs, understand what employers are looking for, and practise interview skills in a safe, supportive setting.

    Whether you're applying for your first job, re-entering the workforce, or exploring new opportunities, this course will help you feel more confident and prepared.

  • Entry Requirements


    This course is suitable for learners working at Entry English and IT and above. It's ideal for job seekers, adult returners, ESOL learners, and anyone looking to improve their employability. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and take part.

    This 2-Day course will include:

    • Learn techniques to help control interview nerves
    • Discover how to use the STAR method to contribute to interview responses
    • Discover key preparation techniques to help, job searching and job applications
    • Be able to deliver answers to your interview questions to help you perform to your strengths

    Assessment is informal and based on participation and practical tasks. Learners will:

    *Complete a simple job search activity using real or sample adverts

    *Prepare and practise answers to common interview questions

    *Take part in mock interviews with tutor and peer feedback

    There are no exams. The focus is on building confidence and developing usable skills for real-life job applications.
