Suicide Awareness and Prevention (Distance Learning)

In this course you will learn about self harm and suicide awareness.

Myth busters, raising awareness and breaking down stigma to help increase support. What is emotional resilience and how can it be built? Techniques and practical advice to build on emotion resilience and temporary mood boosters to help through a tough spot. How to identify and assess risk in relation to suicide and sources of support if there is risk identified/suspected. Practical coping strategies including how to develop safety plans when suicidal thoughts are present. What can be included on safety plans and how to support someone in creating one. Advice on how to respond if self harm has taken place, this can include first aid, and also what to do if someone is at risk of suicide.
