Introduction to Childcare - Entry 3 - TOOTING

If you are interested in working in childcare, then this FREE course is a good starting point as it helps develop the basic skills needed to care for a baby or young child.

  • Entry Requirements


    To attend this course you must be 19 years old or older, legally allowed to live and work in the UK and have lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years.

    You must also attend a short initial assessment at South Thames College Tooting Campus.

  • Course Content


    Caring for Children includes confidence building for the young child through play, listening to and talking with a young child, children's play and leisure activities in the community and workplace Covid hygiene skills.

  • Progression Next Steps


    Once you have completed this course you may wish to progress onto our Level 1 Award in Caring for Children.

  • Additional Information


    The course starts every 6 weeks and so if you are interested in applying, please click on the link within the apply button to book in for an initial assessment. Please note that you are required to follow government guidelines with regards to wearing a face covering and maintaining social distancing.

  • Course Structure


    This course runs from 9.30am to 3.00pm 1 day a week for 6 weeks. It is a requirement that you attend all sessions.
