This online course provides an initial introduction to offering clear and accurate information, advice or guidance, and knowing what can be shared legally and professionally.

  • Entry Requirements


    In order to be able to enrol for this course, Learners must meet the following criteria:

    • Be aged 19 or over
    • Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
    • Have achieved a Grade C (or above) in GCSE English, or a Pass in Functional Skills Level 2.
  • Course Content


    Learners work through online theory modules, before completing a series of related questions.

    Topics on the course include:

    • Explore communication techniques
    • Study how values, attitudes and beliefs can affect interactions
    • Develop interaction and interpersonal skills
    • Learn how information, advice or guidance can be explored
    • Learn how group interaction can be utilised
    • Manage information, including storage and retrieval
    • Learn how to comply with the law

    An Assessor is assigned to each course, and can support learners virtually where required.
