L4 Diploma in Professional Accounting (AAT)

This AAT level 4 qualification is highly valued by employers and will boost your career prospects enable you to qualify for more senior finance positions. The level is a stepping stone to further qualifications such as ACCA. There are three mandatory modules (applied management accounting, drafting & interpreting financial statements and internal accounting systems and controls) and two optional ones (business tax & audit and assurance) to make up the assessments needed for level 4 qualification. You will sit an exam for each unit, plus a synoptic paper.

You will need to have passed the level 3 Diploma in Accounting or equivalent to join this course.

  • Entry Requirements


    Learners must have the AAT level 3 or equivalent. Minimum GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/5.

    You will be invited in for an assessment and informal chat with the tutor.

    You will sit an assessment paper after each module plus a synoptic paper.

    This course is face to face at Wandsworth.

  • Assessment Details


    You will sit an AAT computer based assignment at the end of each unit plus a synoptic paper. The synoptic paper tests how the different concepts and techniques relate to each other and allows you to apply them in realistic given scenarios. The pass mark for each paper is 70%.

    • 70-70% = pass
    • 80-89% = merit
    • 90100% = distinction
