If you're looking to start your own business, or already have a business but want to develop and progress your business plan, this short course will support you with the skills and knowledge you need.

    This course is open to anyone that would like to start their own business and looking for help and support. Basic English and Maths will be required.

    This course will cover the following : Why work for yourself? Your business idea Initial steps for a business start-up. Marketing for a business start-up. Legal and financial considerations when starting a business. How to develop a business plan.

    Complete our Level 2 Creating a Business Start-Up distance learning course. Join other courses at the college such as training for work courses and IT courses.

  • Course Structure


    The course will be delivered in an IT room at the college . There will be approx 8-12 learners in the class. Learners are encouraged to participate in class activities and work in groups.
