Cake Baking and Decorating

Spend a day baking and decorating a celebration cake. Learn tips and techniques to create delicious cakes with a professional finish.

  • Course Content


    This is a one-day course, which is packed full of information and hands-on practise to take your cakes to the next level. It is suitable for both beginner and advanced bakers. We will cover the essentials of cupcake baking and decorating.

    It is an intensive course that is paced with information on all the basic essentials. It will equip you with the knowledge and skills to take your cakes to the next level. The focus of this course is how to bake the perfect cupcakes and effectively work with buttercream & fondant.

    Students will start with the basics of how to consistently bake even and soft cakes. They will make their own icing and pipe on their cakes. Learners will then add a pristine finish to their cakes by covering with fondant in the style of the theme.

    By the end of the course you will have a good understanding of how to prepare and decorate cakes in a professional manner. It is an interactive class where students are encouraged to ask questions and clarify any confusions.

    IMPORTANT: students are expected to bring ingredients and selected equipment for their own use.
