Entry Requirements

As part of the application process, you will need to provide a copy of your most recent school report and/or a reference from an employer or other relevant professional. This helps us ensure that we can provide the right support to help you succeed on your chosen course.

You will also need:

3 GCSEs at any grade, including Maths and English, or

A relevant previous vocational qualification.

Progression and Future Opportunities

This qualification provides a clear progression route to the Level 2 Beauty Therapy course.

There are also a wide range of opportunities for you to progress within the South Thames Colleges Group and beyond into further education, training or employment.

During your time with us, you will have access to a dedicated team of careers and education advisers who will support you as you take the next steps towards achieving your personal and professional goals.

Course Duration and Attendance

This is a one-year, full-time course. You will attend College three or four days per week, with additional work experience in our commercial salon.

Work experience is an essential part of your learning and will help you develop valuable practical skills in a professional environment. Your progress and achievements will be evidenced through a portfolio.

A kit and uniform are required for practical lessons. Further information about the required kit, uniform, equipment and materials will be provided during your advice and guidance or interview session.
