The course promotes Independence, communication and social skills training, with literacy, numeracy and IT skills embedded in a practical and engaging curriculum of lessons, activities and enrichment with a high level of teacher and learning coach support. Most work experience takes place onsite.

Topics may include: Horticulture; Agriculture; Running an Enterprise; Catering; Rights at Work; Health and Safety; Communication in the Workplace. Assessment is completed via a portfolio of evidence, which may include observation, Q & A, Practical or written assessments. Functional Skills assessments will take place throughout the year as appropriate to the individual. -
