Clothes Making (All)

This course will teach you the sewing skills you need to make your own clothes to a high standard.

  • Course Content


    By the end of the course you'll be able to:

    • Thread and use a sewing machine and overlocker to sew seams

    • Identify types of paper patterns and suitable fabric

    • Read a paper pattern and lay, pin and cut out fabric

    • Complete sample seams and hand sewn finishes

    • Understand how to make a simple garment. Depending on your ability you may be able to complete a garment of your own during the course.

    This course will provide you with plenty of skills that would be useful on a fashion, clothesmaking or sewing course. You can further your knowledge by taking another course at the College.
