Can parents / guardians attend?

Yes, you are welcome to bring an adult to support you at the event

Do I have to wear school uniform?

No, there is no requirement for you to wear your school uniform. 

What if I can’t attend on the day / time you have given me?

Please reply to the original invite.  We will then send you a new date/time.  Please note, that tutors are only available on certain days and times – it may not always be possible to rearrange

I can attend the date given but not the time

Please reply to the original invite.  We will then send you a new time if we can.  Please note, that tutors are only available on certain days and times – it may not always be possible to rearrange a new time for the same day.  If this is the case your event will be completely rearranged a new day/time sent to you

I don’t finish school in time to attend the event

As it is a college event, you should be able to show your school the email invitation and be able to leave early so that you arrive on time

I have childcare issues, can I bring my children (or brothers/sisters)?

Please refrain from bringing small children to the interview.  We ask that most applicants only bring one adult to support them at the event if they wish

I am not in the country and cannot attend until later in the year

Please reply to the original invite.  We will then send you a new date/time.  Please note, that tutors are only available on certain days and times – it may not always be possible to rearrange an event if it is near the end of the academic year

Do I need to bring anything?

Please look at the original email.  This will tell you anything that you need to bring with you

Where do I go when I get to the College?

The Admissions team will welcome you into the college when you arrive and direct you to the tutor

Can I park at the college?

Unfortunately, there is no parking at any of the college sites.  Some of the colleges do have disabled bays for those applicants who hold a valid Blue Badge, availability if on a first come first served basis

Most of the colleges are located within transport links and have car parks in the surrounding areas

Can someone come on my behalf if I cannot attend?

No, the event is for applicants – you cannot have someone attend for you

I’m attending an event, when will I know if I am successful and when do I enrol?

The Admissions team will try to email and official outcome with 10 days of you attending an event.  This will include dates of enrolment

What qualifications do I need?

All course information is available on our website www.stcg.ac.uk  This includes entry criteria.

I’ve applied for more than one course but you have only invited me to one of them

Each course has its own applicant/course offer event.  It maybe that your other course is full for this particular date – you should get a separate email invitation for all courses

I have been sent an in person event but can I have an online interview instead?

If you have been sent an in person interview it is not possible to change it to a Teams/Phone interview

How long will the event last?

Most events last no more than 1 hour, however this will depend on the course applied for and how many students attend

Can I have a tour of the college whilst at the event?

Unfortunately, this is not possible.  Please come to the college at an Open Event
