Foundation Two
The course promotes independence, communication and social skills training delivered through a practical and engaging curriculum of lessons, activities and enrichment. IT, literacy and numeracy are embedded throughout the curriculum, with the option of taking nationally recognised qualifications when students are ready to do so. Some work experience takes place onsite, but with an increasing focus on workplace opportunities and activities.

Entry Requirements
An interest in developing skills for work and employment with a commitment to completing the course. Suitability for the programme will be assessed both before joining and during the first four weeks of the course. -
Course Content
Topics may include: Horticulture; Agriculture; Running an Enterprise; Catering; Rights at Work; Health and Safety; Communication in the Workplace. Assessment is completed via a portfolio of evidence, which may include observation, Q & A, Practical or written assessments. Functional Skills assessments will take place throughout the year as appropriate to the individual. -
Progression Next Steps
At College: Progression Plus , Transitional Plus, Supported Internship, Level 1.Outside College: Employment and/or Voluntary Work.

Course Structure
Students will participate in enterprise activities and will be expected to complete a work experience placement of either 1 or 2 days a week with selected local employers. -
Assessment Details
Assessment is completed via a portfolio of evidence, which may include observation, Q & A, Practical or written assessments. Functional Skills assessments will take place throughout the year as appropriate to the individual.
