This course gives you the opportunity to learn important skills and knowledge to carry out a range of tasks that are used on a construction site on and as a domestic builder on a daily basis such as painting and decorating, joinery, tiling, plumbing, electrical and will be useful from day one for working in construction. We will also cover Retrofit, Green skills and sustainability which are hugely important in construction and will increase your employment opportunities.

included in the course are units on employability skills, such as writing a CV, managing money and also Maths and English will be a key learning aim to give you more opportunities to progress in education and your career

You will visit trade shows site visits and have the opportunity to go on Work experience. If you complete the course successfully, you will be in a position to progress onto the level 2 maintenance operations or another course at the college.     We will invite you to a 'Meet the Tutor' event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    3 x GCSE's at any grade including Maths and English .
