Artificial Intelligence Employability Programme
FREE Employability Programme for London residents currently out of work or earning below £27,007.50 per year.
With the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) predicted in every area of our society, it will inevitably transform our lives, how we go about performing daily tasks and the world of work. This exciting new employability programme offers an opportunity to gain an understanding in the foundational concepts of AI.
You will study the history of AI, ethical and sustainable AI challenges, key AI enablers and gain an understanding of the possible future of AI-human interaction, especially in the workplace.
In addition, you will also work on two Level 2 (NCFE) certificates in Cyber Security and Mental Health in the Workplace. The Cyber Security course complements the AI skills you are gaining and gives fundamental knowledge of cyber threats, legal and ethical issues and data protection. The Mental Health course gives you knowledge of the tools to support mental wellness and operational resilience in the workplace.
You will also receive careers guidance on routes into AI-related job roles.
This employability programme gives people a foundation on which to begin building a career in Artificial Intelligence. It will also help those who are not looking specifically to work in AI development, but who want to become more knowledgeable in the use of AI, to be able to apply these skills in various job roles.
All applicants will be required to attend an assessment session before being offered a place on this employability programme. The assessment will take place on Tuesday 17 March, 10am-12pm, at South Thames College, Wandsworth, SW18 2PP.

Entry Requirements
This course is for people aged 19+. You will need to have access to a computer at home or at a library.You should have level 2 English and will need to take an assessment.
All applicants will be required to attend an assessment session before being offered a place on this employability programme. The assessment will take place on Tuesday 17 March, 10am-12pm, at South Thames College, Wandsworth (Wandsworth High Street, SW18 2PP).

Course Content
On this employability programme, you will study for certification in:- An Essential Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
And be working towards:
- Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Cyber Security
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace
You will need to complete all three components of the programme to be awarded individual certificates.

Assessment Details
Essential Certificate in Artificial Intelligence - You will take a 30 minute multiple choice exam consisting of 20 questions. The pass mark is 65%.Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Cyber Security - You will complete an online portfolio. There is no exam.
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace - You will complete an online portfolio. There is no exam.
