Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People

This online course provides an initial understanding of the risks of abusive and exploitative behaviour that some children experience, and what strategies are used to protect them from this behaviour, whilst following procedures.

  • Entry Requirements


    In order to be able to enrol for this course, Learners must meet the following criteria:

    • Be aged 19 or over
    • Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
    • Have achieved a Grade C (or above) in GCSE English, or a Pass in Functional Skills Level 2.
  • Course Content


    Learners work through online theory modules, before completing a series of related questions.

    Topics on the course include:

    • Caring for Young Children in a Babysitting Environment
    • Accident Prevention and Fire Safety When Babysitting
    • Rights and Responsibilities in Relation to Parenting
    • Parenting and Healthy Lifes.

    An Assessor is assigned to each course, and can support learners virtually where required.
