Summer Art Studio: Painting & Drawing
Join us for a creative and inspiring one-week Summer School in Painting and Drawing at South Thames College, Tooting.
This short course is ideal for adults who would like to develop their artistic skills, explore different drawing and painting techniques, or simply enjoy a focused week of creativity in a supportive and friendly environment. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some previous experience, you will be encouraged to work at your own pace and build confidence in your artistic abilities.
Over two extended studio sessions, you will experiment with observational drawing, composition, colour, tone, and painting techniques while creating your own artwork. Guidance and individual support will be provided throughout the course.

Course Content
Throughout the course, you will develop your observational skills by drawing from a variety of objects and visual references, learning how to see and represent form, light, and space with greater confidence.You will explore the principles of composition, discovering how artists arrange elements within an image to create balance, movement, and visual interest.
