Key Facts

Access to Higher Education Diploma Business

You'll study specialist business units including marketing, planning, strategy, operations, business environment, human resources, finance and IT to prepare you for university study. Tutorial sessions will help you with your UCAS applications and there is also a focus on the development of study skills to give you everything you'll need to succeed at degree level. You'll cover many different approaches to learning including research, observation, written assessment, peer assessment and individual and small group presentations.

  • Entry Requirements


    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    You will provide a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

    Candidates are required to have GCSE English Language at grade C/4 or above or English Functional Skills Level 2. Maths is requried at a minimum grade D/3

    If you do not have GCSE Maths at grade C/4 you may be given the opportunity to study this subject alongside your Access Diploma to achieve a grade 4 or above.

  • Assessment Details


    Assessments take place throughout the course with essays, assignments, presentations, tests and final exams. You must pass each unit and gain a total of 60 credits, of which 45 must be at Level 3, to achieve the qualification.
