LE Introduction to Floristry - Summer School (ILP 13-20 Hrs)

Are you a budding florist or a floral hobbyist? This Floristry Summer School is ideal for beginners, those who have some floristry skills and are looking to gain a better understanding of floral design , or for those setting out, ultimately aiming to become an industry professional. You will learn about flowers and foliages, and use these to create arrangements for occasions such as weddings, funerals, birthdays and events. You will develop basic practical skills, using a range of tools, fresh materials, containers and sundries to create both contemporary and modern designs.

    You will produce 2 designs at each session. Sundry items have been included in materials but you should budget for £15- 20 a day for the flowers/ foliage.

    This course can act as a 'stepping stone' for those wishing to join our accredited NCFE courses and/or other leisure courses.

  • Additional Information


    This course will be free if you are on certain benefits or a low household income. You will also be able to apply for a bursary to cover the cost of the materials and flowers if you are on benefits or earn less than £30,000 per annum.
