Introduction to Counselling and Therapy
If you have no previous experience of counselling, then this non-accredited course will give you a good foundation for further work and study. The course includes theory and practice including elements such as boundaries, listening skills and how to run a short counselling session. The skills you will develop can be used in work based settings or home.
As well as improving your communication skills, you'll learn about the three main psychological theories that underpin counselling practice psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive. You will also cover key issues in counselling like confidentiality, boundaries and non-verbal communication.

You do not need any experience of counselling as this course will give you the introduction you need. -
