Course Content
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:Understand the principles of sustainable textile practice and creative reuse. Apply a range of textile techniques, including mending, patchwork, appliqué, quilting, and fabric embellishment. Transform discarded or unwanted textiles into attractive, functional, and saleable products. Explore traditional sustainable textile crafts and their contemporary applications. Develop original product ideas using reclaimed and upcycled materials. Identify suitable materials and techniques for creating items with commercial appeal. Produce a small collection or prototype of handmade textile products. Understand basic costing and pricing methods for handmade goods.
