Tai Chi - Advanced
this is an advanced course for returning students who have an experience of at Least 10 years practicing. Deepen your practice and refine your movement in this **9-week Advanced Tai Chi course designed for adults who already have a solid foundation in Tai Chi principles and forms.
Each weekly session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering a structured yet flowing progression that builds strength, balance, coordination, and internal awareness. This course goes beyond the basics, focusing on precision, continuity of movement, breath integration, and the subtle energetic principles that define advanced Tai Chi practice.
Participants will work on improving posture alignment, transitioning smoothly between forms, and developing greater sensitivity, stability, and control. There is also emphasis on deepening relaxation under movement and enhancing mental focus.
Suitable for adults with prior Tai Chi experience who are ready to progress to a more refined and expressive level of practice.

Course Content
By the end of this 9-week advanced Tai Chi course, learners will be able to:Demonstrate improved structural alignment, posture, and body awareness throughout movement sequences. Perform advanced Tai Chi movements with greater fluidity, continuity, and control. Integrate breath with movement to support relaxation, focus, and internal coordination. Show increased balance, stability, and coordination during both static and dynamic practice. Develop a deeper understanding of internal principles such as relaxation, grounding, and centred movement. *Build confidence in independent practice of advanced Tai Chi forms and sequences.

Additional Information
Each session develops deeper awareness of how movement originates from the centre, travels through the body, and expresses with softness and precision. Emphasis is placed on quality over quantity, refining how each posture is performed rather than learning new sequences. -

Assessment Details
This course does not include a formal assessment. Instead, progress will be supported through tutor-led sessions featuring continuous observation and personalized feedback. Posture and technique corrections will be provided as needed to help you develop safely and effectively. -
