UAL Level 3 Diploma Creative Media Production & Technology (Film, Media & Photography)
On this course you will not only appreciate the relevance of film, television and other audio visual texts through critical analysis, but you will also be involved in the practical development of your own skills. You will develop skills in planning, production, post-production and evaluation, all key areas of the media and creative industry. You will understand and become proficient in the use of digital equipment and editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro, as well as lighting and script writing. You will develop your own storyboards and create short trailers, music videos and narratives using visual imagery, you will become used to working in the green screen studio while being guided by highly trained relevant staff that will support you through your journey and allow you to build your confidence in your chosen area of media production. You will also start to create a body of work as part of a portfolio alongside a UCAS application for undergraduate courses. We will support you through this process with trips, tailored lessons around UCAS proposals and references to help you progress to degree level study or employment in the media sector. Towards the end of your course, you will be involved in a final end-of-year show where you will present your film reels to an outside audience linked to our creative industry's private view.

Course Structure
You will be given projects that relate to UAL and the unit requirements, these will build on your creative skills and your own reflective practice. You will have formative assessments and the at the end of each project you will have a summative assessment at this point you will be given clear actions to help you improve, ready for the next project. -
Assessment Details
You will have clear assessment dates alongside, peer assessment actives. Summative assessments will allow you to see how you are progressing and give you an indication as to your final project grade. You will also be able to have a one to one discussion and supportive discussions with your teacher. -
