L3 Diploma in the Principles of Management and Leadership (CMI)

This course is online, one evening a week. The fee is £1,260. There is the option of taking out an Advanced Learner Loan (maximum of £724) to help cover some of the course fee. If you are aged 19 or over and earn below £25,750 or are unemployed, you may be eligible to receive this course for free.

This course is aimed at people who are, or want to be managers, or for those who supervise a team. Whether you want to update and improve CV or become a more effective manager, this course will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to help you in your professional development.

All organisations have a unique structure, character and culture. Without developing an awareness into how an organisation operates, it is challenging to lead and manage people effectively. Awareness begins with an understanding of the way different organisations are structured, as well as how they are influenced by culture, values and ethics. The course aims to give you an understanding of the role of an organisation's strategic business plan, and how they can contribute to the organisation's success. You will develop core management skills such as team leadership, communication, goal setting and performance management. The course will support you to take on more managerial responsibilities and improve your job prospects. On passing the course, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification.
