This level 1 part-time course is perfect if you are looking for a qualification as the starting point for a career in bookkeeping and accounts. This introductory course will give you practical skills and a range of bookkeeping techniques. This course leads to the AAT level 1 Award in Book-Keeping qualification, with an exam taken the week after the last class date.

Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements but students must demonstrate good numeracy and Literacy skills. Non native English speakers should have International English. -
Course Content
The course covers a range of basic bookkeeping fundamentals including:- Understanding the role of the bookkeeper
- Understanding financial transactions
- Processing customer and supplier transactions
- Processing receipts and payments
- Understanding the benefits and risks of using accounting software to complete bookkeeping tasks.

You will be continually assessed by your tutor and there will also be an computer based examination the week after the last class.
