Learn To Play The Guitar (Intermediate)

This course is aimed at students with some prior experience of playing the guitar (i.e. you have covered basic strumming & fingerpicking patterns, open chords, plectrum use) and will develop your techniques further.

  • Entry Requirements


    No formal qualifications are required.

  • Course Content


    On the course you will learn:

    • Notation: rhythm, fingerpicking & lead guitar tablature

    • Strumming patterns(offbeat, muted, 2-bar, double-time etc)

    • Half/full barre CAGED chords & altered chords

    • Plectrum techniques: bend, slide, hammer-on, pull-off, mute etc

    • Songs at the intermediate level

  • Additional Information


    Please bring your own guitar, tuner, capo, plectrums, pen & paper. If using an electric guitar please bring battery powered amp & lead, We are sorry but for safety reasons mains operated amps cannot be used.
