Green Skills: Gardening - Getting Started

If you are new to gardening and would like to get started with growing your own flowers, fruit or vegetables, this practical, hands-on course is for you.

It will introduce you to the basic principles and practice of sustainable gardening, which you can adapt to your own space, whether a garden, allotment, patio or even just a windowsill.

    You can progress on to further practical and theory-based courses at the College, volunteer with local gardening groups. Your tutor will also be able to advise on courses leading to qualifications in horticulture.

    The course will be mostly outdoors, so please dress for the weather.

    All equipment will be provided, but you may wish to bring your own gardening gloves if you have them.
