L2 - Guild of Gas Fitters Managed Learning Programme
This course programme is designed for new entrants to the gas industry who do not hold a relevant related qualification and have no gas related workplace experience. The aims and objectives are to train prospective new entrants to the national standard of domestic natural gas safety. The flexible and tailored 30 week course (excluding assessments) aims to provide the individual with the skills and knowledge required to meet the standards of competence directly relating to the ACS domestic natural gas safety curriculum. On successful completion of the training, portfolio and assessment, candidates who are issued with an ERS Managed Learning Programme certificate can then apply to undertake relevant ACS assessments which are recognised by Gas Safe Register for registration purposes. Depending upon the entry route the duration of the MLP will be a minimum of 6 months and will require attendance at the centre along with gaining and documenting onsite experience under the supervision of a Gas Safe Registered engineer.
