An ideal qualification for those wanting to work as part of a web design team or freelance. The course aims to give you the knowledge, skills and understanding of web design. You will learn about the key core components of web design and gain a number of practical and technical skills. There are 5 mandatory units in this course.

  • Course Content


    There are 5 mandatory units

    • Understanding the web and web design
    • Creating a web page using HTML
    • Understanding and using cascading style sheets (CSS)
    • Understanding and using Javascript
    • Understanding the fundamentals of web images and scalable vector graphics (SVG)

  • Course Structure


    Learners will need level 2 maths and English or equivalent. It would be advantageous if you have a digital qualification. Prior to enrolling, you will be assessed and have an informal chat with your tutor.

  • Assessment Details


    You will create a portfolio of evidence of the 5 mandatory units and is internally assessed.
