This course is aimed at developing a range of IT skills across different areas which will support you in the workplace. It is suitable for someone who already uses some IT in their jobs who hopes to enter a job role where IT will be needed.

Eligible learners can get this course for FREE.

  • Entry Requirements


    To do this course, students should have level 1 in English and maths (or equivalent). Please confirm that you have these. You should have access to a computer to do the assignments at home. You will also be able to use our college library.

  • Course Content


    Learners must achieve 16 credits from 5 mandatory units. They are:

    • IT software fundamentals
    • IT security for users
    • Spreadsheet software
    • Presentation software
    • Using IT to increase productivity.

    Please note, this course does not include Microsoft word.

  • Assessment Details


    The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments.
