Watercolour
This course in painting in watercolours is aimed at both beginners with no prior experience of the medium and intermediate learners who wish to improve their skills and broaden the range of their working techniques. Learners will develop an understanding of the fundamental aspects of working with watercolour and build on growing technical competencies week-on-week through a range of sessions designed to expand and challenge learners in their use of the medium. Historical and contemporary contexts will be provided, alongside practical demonstrations and exercises. Individual one-to-one support across the sessions will help you develop your confidence in using oil paint throughout this course.

He studied printmaking at Winchester School of Art and has recently completed a PhD at the Royal College of Art. As a painter he has exhibited widely in the UK, as well as abroad, and has been selected for the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize five times, twice winning the Visitors' Choice Prize, as well as prizes for watercolours at the Bankside and Mall Galleries. Recent work has investigated the relationship between photography, film and painting.
