LE Clothes Making & Pattern Cutting
This course which is a combination of two courses starts you with a solid foundation and progression in pattern cutting and clothes making.
The pattern cutting section teaches the learner to draft blocks of various body measurements and the adaptation of blocks to develop pattern pieces for various fashion styles.
The Clothes making however, train learners to construct clothes professionally. The creativity of the course with its holistic approach equips learners with employable skills into the fashion industry. Main aim is to create a Bespoke Skirt Block and design your own perfectly fitted skirt

Become familiar with pattern-cutting equipment and tools Become familiar using sewing tools and equipment including the sewing machine Become familiar with pattern-cutting terminology and manufacturing processes Learn how to take body measurements correctly Work towards developing your pattern-cutting skills by drafting patterns for more advanced creative design styles for personal design relation Practise 2D flat pattern cutting techniques by manipulating the bodice block into simple design styles Practice clothes-making skills threading the sewing machine -*sewing seams
