Introduction To Photography: Portrait, product and food photography
This course will be an introduction to photography using a DSLR camera or similar. The course will be split over 3 consecutive Saturday mornings The course is intended to be very "hands on" and will cover technical and design tasks through practical experience with Portrait, food and product. Students will also have the opportunity to create a Photobook of a project of their own choosing. Students will be guided through the design of their books to completion as a pdf document.

Course Content
Learners will be able to:Use the manual exposure details required to make artistic choices with their camera and to not just rely on automatic settings
Apply lighting, design and technical details required to take magazine and cookbook style images.
Explains the styling and lighting needed to produce attractive product images of Perfume ,clothes and similar objects.
Please note you will need to bring your own camera.

Course Structure
Module 1 Introduction and portrait Students will be learn the manual exposure details required to make artistic choices with their camera and to not just rely on automatic settings. We will also discuss choice of lenses. We will then progress to taking portraits of each other while also learning about lighting a person for portraiture with natural light The class will then together assess the results of the portraiture.Module 2 Food Students will learn the lighting, design and technical details required to take magazine and cookbook style images. The class will then together assess the results of the food images.
Module 3 product Module 3 explains the styling and lighting needed to produce attractive product images of Perfume ,clothes and similar objects. Again the class assess the product images at the end of the morning.
Photobooks Inspiration and progress of photobooks will be discussed and updated during each module.

Assessment Details
There is group and one to one tuition. Constructive advice and problem solving of students' own work will also be given.
