This course is a continuation of our introductory interior design course (Part 1) and is tailored for those looking to deepen their knowledge of residential design, particularly in house renovations. Through this course, you'll explore all stages of the interior design process, from budgeting and sourcing to communicating effectively with clients.

    2. Bedroom Design *Key elements of functional and aesthetic bedroom design
      • Colour schemes, furnishings, and layout considerations
    3. The Role of Interior Designers Responsibilities and functions of an interior designer in renovations Collaboration with clients, contractors, and suppliers
    4. Developing Essential Skills Effective communication techniques with clients Translating verbal information into actionable design directions *Handling client feedback and revisions
    5. Budgeting for Projects Creating and managing a renovation budget Cost estimation and financial planning strategies
    6. Project Management Ordering materials and managing quantities Scheduling trades and coordinating with contractors

    The course will include 3 modules that are designed to be sequential. Each module is 5 hours long with a lunch break There are assignments at the end of each module which will require you to participate in the design experience. The assignments are designed to help you build your first professional portfolio.
