Our Access to Higher Education (HE) Diplomas are designed to fit around your lifestyle for adults aged 19+ who have been out of full-time education for some time and can provide a progression route to undergraduate study at college or university.
You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan to help pay tuition fees which is then written off if you go on to complete a degree course. You may also be entitled to study this course for free if you are:
- aged between 19 and 23 with no previous Level 3 qualification OR
- live in a London Borough and are working on a low wage or unemployed or on a state benefit
See our video presentations below about the courses and financing your Access diploma:
"The standard of teaching on my Access to HE Diploma was the best I had experienced. My teachers managed to inject creativity into sometimes quite prescriptive assignments and made sure that there was a way to develop your own academic style." Helen Duffey, Access to Humanities & Social Science
“I am doing amazing work which is both heart-breaking and rewarding. I owe it to my Kingston College tutor, Sue Brahams, because if she hadn’t shown me what I was capable of I would not be able to do what I do. Thank you so much for believing in me." Katie Colbran, Access to Education & Teacher Training
“Access to Nursing gave me direct access to university as I did not have the right qualifications having studied abroad, plus I did not have A Levels.” Craig Chipfuwmit gained a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science and recently received a job offer as a GMP Production Scientist in Cambridge, the hub of biotechnology, research and scientific innovation.
