Our Access to Higher Education (HE) Diplomas are designed to fit around your lifestyle for adults aged 19+ who have been out of full-time education for some time and can provide a progression route to undergraduate study at college or university.
You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan to help pay tuition fees which is then written off if you go on to complete a degree course. You may also be entitled to study this course for free if you are:
- aged between 19 and 23 with no previous Level 3 qualification OR
- live in a London Borough and are working on a low wage or unemployed or on a state benefit

“When I enrolled on the Access course I never would have believed what I’ve achieved now”, says Access to Science student, Lauren, who is now at University of Warwick studying BSc Biomedical Science.
Apprenticeship in Audiology for Access to Science student, Toni-Marie, who says “the rewards are huge on the Access course”.
“All my tutors were outstanding,” says former Access to Engineering student, Om, who is now an Apprentice Field Services Engineer at global pharma and biotech company Bayer and on day release studying HNC Mechanical Engineering at Kingston College.
“I had never been to school before because there was a civil war in Syria, and I thought I would never get a degree in my life. But I was lucky enough that there was a course like Access to Science,” says Mohammed Deeb who is now at Westminster University studying BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science after studying ESOL, GCSEs and Access to Science at Kingston College.
