Units in this qualification have been mapped to the relevant NOS (where applicable). This qualification is regulated on the Regulated Qualifications Framework. This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications. Learning Outcome 1: Be able to prepare for head massage- Prepare yourself, the client and work area for head massage
- Use suitable consultation techniques to identify treatment objectives
- Advise the client on how to prepare for the treatment
- Identify influencing factors e. Provide clear recommendations to the client based on factors
Learning Outcome 2: Be able to provide head massage
- Communicate and behave in a professional manner
- Position yourself and the client correctly throughout the treatment
- Select and use products, equipment and techniques, taking into account identified factors
- Follow safe and hygienic working practices
- Identify contra-actions and take appropriate action during treatment
- Provide suitable aftercare advice
- Complete the treatment to the satisfaction of the client
- Evaluate the results of the treatment with the client
