College life was as I expected, just with more independence! My favourite part of my course was the independence I was given to complete my work within a certain time frame.
My advice to anyone applying to Kingston College would be choose something that you have a genuine interest in, not something that you think would just be a good ‘academic option’. What I’ve learnt is that if you have no interest in the topic or subject, the likelihood of you doing well is slim. I transitioned to Kingston College after doing AS levels at sixth form which I struggled with and had no interest in whatsoever. I was then able to perform to my best ability on a vocational course at Kingston College, where I obtained the highest grade possible. I would advise people to also pick a style of learning that suits them, for me, that was a vocational course.
I’m currently seeking work in TV Production and have recently worked on Soccer AM on Sky Sports.
