19+ ESOL Skills for Life (Daytime)
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) can help you improve your language skills if English is not your first language and you are living or planning to settle in the UK. The course is offered from Pre-Entry level (Beginners) to Level 2 (Advanced).

Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required. You will be assessed on entry to ensure you are placed on the correct level course for you. However, if you have studied ESOL before, please bring along any previous ESOL certificates you may have.We are firmly committed to finding the right course for you to ensure you can flourish! Additional Information
ESOL courses cost £300 per term plus exam fee (£30).Depending on your circumstances, your course could be free. Bring along your most recent benefits letter for our staff to assess you.
If you live in London and earn less than the London Living Wage your course could be free. To be fee assessed, you must bring your latest three payslips (if paid monthly), or your latest four (if paid weekly). If you are self-employed, you must bring your latest tax declaration forms.

Course Structure
We run courses at Carshalton College. Classes are offered in the mornings, in the afternoons or in the evenings.Most courses have an additional qualification in addition to English. This depends on your level, It could be ICT, digital skills or employability.

Assessment Details
On completion of the course, you will gain a nationally recognised ESOL Skills for Life qualification from Ascentis. Exams are offered on a termly basis.
