“BTEC courses are very practical and focused on specific skills and knowledge, which I wanted as I prefer hands-on learning. BTEC also tends to have a more flexible structure compared to traditional academic routes, which can be advantageous if, like me, you have other commitments or a particular learning style. I know I will be able to put my music qualification to good use within a primary school setting.”

Katie gained D*D*D*, the highest grade possible and equivalent to 3 A* at A Level giving Katie the maximum number of UCAS points for university. Katie is now studying BA (Hons) Primary Education at St Mary’s University.
