Lisa works for Woking and Sam Beare Hospice as Head of HR and Volunteer Services, having worked in HR and recruitment for 23 years.
Lisa began her HR career at Surrey Police, focusing on recruitment and workforce development. Since then, Lisa has worked in a variety of industries, and has gained insight into all areas of HR. Positions include HR Specialist (HR, Recruitment, and Reward) for Daikin UK, and prior to this working on the HR Project Team at npower.
Lisa’s most recent HR role has been as an HR Manager at Reed’s School, a senior independent school and charity, based in Cobham where she developed the HR function over 10 years. This role also incorporated oversight of HR at Ripley Court School.
During her career, Lisa has gained a number of qualifications through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is an Associate Member and is currently studying towards her Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management.
Lisa is an advocate of employee health and wellbeing and believes that by investing in employees and volunteers, this translates into a more engaged and productive team, ultimately leading to the success of both individuals and the organisation.
