Tahir Sayani is a finance, risk and governance professional with over 20 years of experience across banking, financial services and professional services. He currently works at HSBC in a senior risk oversight role and has previously held roles with Barclays, and PwC.
Tahir is a Fellow Chartered Accountant. His experience covers enterprise risk management, internal audit, governance, financial management, regulatory risk and assurance.
Alongside his professional career, Tahir has significant experience in the education and voluntary sectors. He serves as a Trustee and member of the Audit Committee at South Thames Colleges Group and as County Treasurer and Trustee of Essex Scouts. Through these roles, he contributes to financial oversight, governance, risk management and the effective stewardship of charitable funds.
Tahir is particularly interested in strong governance, financial sustainability and ensuring that organisations use their resources effectively to deliver positive outcomes for students, young people and the wider community.
