Jim, a Chartered Accountant, is also a trustee and honorary treasurer of the Motor Neurone Disease Association a charity that supports people living with MND and their families and funds research. Jim is also a trustee of The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund, a grant giving charity supporting organisations working with unpaid carers and also those supporting the rehabilitation of offenders. Prior to joining STCG, Jim was a Governor and Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee of Richmond upon Thames College. He has recently retired as Senior Vice President of Global Tax Director of Pearson plc, the world’s leading learning company. Prior to Pearson, Jim held a number of senior roles in tax in the UK and US, working at Diageo and Cadbury, where he was also Group Tax Director. Jim also acted as a pension trustee and was a member of the Finance Leadership Group at both Pearson and Cadbury.
